ABOUT 

Jeffrey Schwartz, Mojo Hand, Author, Rock and Roll History, Licensing Agent

Founder, Jeffrey Schwartz

 

Jeff has an extensive background in music, business, education, and technology, having worked in all domains personally and professionally throughout his entire life. While attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Schwartz studied black music history with renowned jazz bassist Richard Davis, performed as both a solo artist and with several bands, and managed a live music venue in downtown Madison. After earning his master’s degree in education, Schwartz settled in Los Angeles, CA, where he became an award-winning History teacher and created a very successful Rock and Roll History course for middle school and high school students. After founding his own consulting agency in 2010, Schwartz relaunched the archive of the late rock photographer, Chuck Boyd, managing archival efforts and business affairs. In the course of his varied dealings, Jeff has collaborated with major brands including Sony Music, Rolling Stone Magazine, John Varvatos, Harper-Collins, Genesis Publishing, Sundazed Records, and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, to name a few. 

 

Schwartz has served as a consultant for various music publications, licensing agents, authors, television/documentary filmmakers, educators, technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and app developers. He wrote the critically-acclaimed children’s book, The Rock & Roll Alphabet (Mojo Hand LLC, 2011), and compiled and edited the fine-art photo book, Forever Young: The Rock and Roll Photography of Chuck Boyd (Santa Monica Press, 2012). Drawing from his professional experiences in business, technology, and education, and armed with a capable network of industry experts and contacts, Schwartz utilizes all the tools at his disposal to support his clients and their varied objectives.
